Peter Robinson speaker
Head of Channels Transformation Technology
Primark
Peter Robinson is an award winning IT Programme Delivery Specialist, IT Director, IT Strategist with a passion for technology within the retail sector.
Peter has spent the vast majority of his career in the retail sector working with well-known High-Street brands such as Dixons Carphone and Specsavers Opticians. He’s currently working with Primark having played a pivotal role as the Delivery Director in the delivery of Primark’s new global website in 2022 and also the successful trial of their Click and Collect delivery model into 52 stores using a composable commerce stack again in 2022.
He is now heavily involved in the setup of Primark’s new Channels Team that is responsible for the management of third parties responsible for delivery of all of Primark’s retail and digital initiatives including the recently announced UK rollout of Click and Collect.
Peter passionately feels that the high street as a retail shopping destination is not dead but will need to evolve and become more ‘experiential’ in its nature. One of his key concepts is that of Retail Theatre with technology playing a massive part in bringing people into physical stores and then sharing their experiences via social media.
